April 5—Easter Services: On Easter Sunday, in addition to our usual worship services at 8:15 and 10:30, we will have a Sonrise Service at 7:00 followed by a continental breakfast in the fellowship hall. If you will be attending the Sonrise service, we ask that you bring your own chair; however, some will be available if you don't.

“30 Pieces of Silver” Offering: We want to encourage as many as will to participate in the 30 Pieces of Silver offering for Easter. Judas received 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus. Our offering will be used to GLORIFY GOD! This offering, collected on Easter Sunday, will be used to further the work of The Children’s Haven. The mission of The Children’s Haven, located here in Cherokee County, is to promote the health and happiness of children impacted by abuse. This group is committed to building successful children through programs that increase their safety and improve their educational, social and emotional functioning. More information about this organization can be found at cherokeechildrenshaven.org.

Renew in the Smokies (formerly called Senior Saints in the Smokies)—May 25th-29th: Every spring over 500 Christian adults age 50+ come to the Smoky Mountains and Johnson University’s beautiful campus to experience a week of fun, fellowship, inspiration, and southern hospitality. We will all travel up together in the church bus, and all are welcome to join in the fun! The cost is $380 per person for 2 people sharing room or $455 for a private room.

The week offers an array of on-campus activities that include humorous entertainment, in-depth Bible studies, educational workshops, uplifting worship, inspirational preaching, and delicious meals. The flexible schedule also provides ample time in the afternoons to take advantage of the numerous activities available in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the surrounding area. Register online at johnsonu.edu/renew or see Ken for a paper registration form. If you need help with the cost or have any questions, also see Ken.
