What We Believe

We believe in the one God, Creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God the Son assumed human nature, was born of a virgin, ministered in word and miracle, died for our sin, was raised bodily from the dead, and ascended to God’s right hand where He presently resides.

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells in every Christian and is presently at work in the Christian community, empowering lives of godliness and service.

We believe that the Bible is inspired by God, trustworthy in its teaching, and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.

We believe that all humanity, due to sin, is destined for death and separation from God apart from the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ established His church to be one holy people, to glorify God, and to carry out His saving mission among all nations.

We believe in God’s saving grace that calls for faith, repentance, confession, baptism by immersion, and new life and service through the Spirit.

We believe in the blessed hope of the second coming of Jesus Christ, who will raise the dead and judge all with justice and mercy, and in the consummation of the Kingdom of God.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the church screen the volunteers who work with young people?

Yes! The church performs background checks on all volunteers who work with minors. The company providing this service archives all profile reports in an encrypted file. No reports are kept on the church property.

How should I dress when I come to Antioch?

Antioch is a VERY diverse place! When you walk into our worship service you will see many people dressed in nice suits or dresses, you will find people wearing shorts and flip-flops, and you will find people everywhere in between. Our stance is very simple: we care more about you than the clothes you wear! Wear whatever you will be comfortable worshipping in!

What kind of music does Antioch sing?

The music at Antioch tends to be more traditional than contemporary . We sing hymns each week but begin each service with a couple more contemporary songs. We don't believe that God has inspired only one style of music, but we choose the music that we believe helps our congregation to better worship Christ!

What missions do you support as a church?

To name a few...We support Point University, Christian City, FAME, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Lifeline Mission, Johnson University, Mid India Christian Mission, MUST Ministries, North GA Christian Camp, GA Southern Christian Campus Ministry, Central India Christian Mission, Hisportic Christian Mission, Christian City, and we support a group from our church that goes to Jamaica.

When are your services?

We have 2 identical Sunday morning services, one at 8:15 and the other at 10:30. We have Sunday School on Sunday mornings at 9:30 for all ages and Wednesday evening activities for all ages at 6:30 p.m. (meal at 5:30 p.m.)

Why do you take communion every week?

We take communion every Sunday because the early apostles met together to take communion every week. We believe that communion is a special time each week where we set aside everything else that is competing for our time and attention and focus on nothing but the sacrifice that was made on our behalf 2000 years ago.

How do I join the church?

As an immersed believer, to join the church you can come forward at the end of our Sunday morning service. You may also join the church upon your decision to accept Christ and baptism into Christ. If you have any questions concerning membership, feel free to speak to one of our ministers.

What is an "independent Christian Church"?

We could bore you with a lot of dates and names, but, in short, the Christian churches began in the late 18th century as a group of Christians who wished to shed all man-made titles and pursue unity in Christ. For this reason our church is non-denominational and stands independently from other churches or governing bodies.

Does your church have a list of members who provide services in the community?

We do! Our members can access this by clicking on the "Members" tab above..
